The terms, out loud.
This is the agreement between you and us when you use Rhema. It is written to be read, not skimmed past — the same plain language as the rest of the site.
Effective July 14, 2026 · Last updated July 14, 2026
1. Who you're agreeing with
Rhema is a product of 1 Source Medicine, LLC, a Kansas limited liability company doing business as Rhema (“Rhema,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account, subscribing, or using the Rhema app or rhema.black, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use Rhema.
2. The service
Rhema is a voice dictation and voice-command tool for macOS: a native app, a web dashboard, and the cloud services behind them (transcription, AI commands, sync). Some capabilities are provided through third-party AI providers, and their availability, behavior, and model lineup can change. We may add, change, or retire features as the product evolves.
3. Your account
You need an account to download and use Rhema. You must be at least 13 years old (and old enough to form a binding contract where you live), give us accurate information, and keep your credentials to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Accounts are for one person; your plan sets how many of your own devices you can register.
4. License
While your subscription (or trial) is active, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Rhema app on up to the number of devices your plan allows. You may not resell, sublicense, or share access; reverse engineer or copy the service except where law permits; or circumvent device limits, usage allowances, rate limits, or security measures.
5. Your content
Your words are yours. Everything you dictate, every document you produce with Rhema, and everything you save to your account (vocabulary, macros, style profiles, captures) belongs to you. You grant us only the license we need to run the service: to process your audio and text through our transcription and AI providers, to store what you save, to sync it to your devices, and to respond when you contact support. We do not use your content to train AI models. If you share a macro, you grant the people you share it with the right to use it.
You're responsible for your content and for having the right to dictate it — including the laws that apply where you are when you record other people.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use Rhema to:
- break the law or violate anyone's rights;
- probe, overload, or interfere with the service, other users' accounts, or our providers — including evading rate limits or automated abuse of AI endpoints;
- generate content that violates our AI providers' acceptable-use policies;
- farm trials, credits, or referral bonuses through multiple or fraudulent accounts.
7. Plans, trial, and billing
Plans
Standard is $19/month or $190/year and includes 500 AI commands a month and 2 devices. Pro is $49/month or $490/year and includes 3,000 AI commands a month and 3 devices. Plain dictation — press, talk, press again — is not metered against your command allowance. Prices are in US dollars; taxes may apply depending on where you live.
The trial
Both plans start with a 7-day free trial of the full tier. You enter a card up front through Stripe Checkout, and nothing is charged during the 7 days. Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing. When the trial ends, your subscription starts and your card is charged. One trial per customer — if you've already used a trial, a new subscription starts billing immediately.
Renewal and cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until you cancel. Cancel any time from your dashboard: cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for, and you keep full access until then. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card number.
Failed payments
If a renewal charge fails, you get a 72-hour grace window to fix your payment method while service continues. If it isn't resolved, access is suspended until payment succeeds.
Allowances
If you use up your monthly AI-command allowance, commands keep working on a reduced model tier for the rest of the period rather than stopping. Dictation is unmetered in normal use; we track transcription volume and may apply fair-use limits to protect the service from abuse.
Refunds
The trial is how you decide whether Rhema is for you. Beyond it, payments are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise — though if something went genuinely wrong, write to us and we'll listen.
Price changes and credits
If we change prices, we'll notify you in advance and the new price takes effect at your next renewal. Promotional or referral credits (like the credit for sharing a macro someone subscribes through) are applied to your Stripe balance, have no cash value, and we may modify or discontinue them.
8. Termination
You can stop using Rhema and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these terms, abuse the service, or don't pay — and where practical we'll warn you first. On termination your license ends; your local files (like your on-device transcript history) remain yours, and you can ask us to delete your account data as described in the Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive (your content ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, governing law) survive.
9. Disclaimers
Rhema is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Speech recognition and AI-generated text are probabilistic: transcripts and command output can be wrong, and you are responsible for reviewing text before you send it, file it, or act on it. Rhema is not a source of medical, legal, or financial advice. We don't promise uninterrupted or error-free service. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain warranty disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for all claims relating to the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or $50 if you haven't paid us anything). Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
11. Indemnity
If a third party brings a claim against us because you misused the service or violated these terms or the law, you agree to cover the resulting costs and damages, including reasonable legal fees.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Kansas, and both sides consent to their jurisdiction. If you're a consumer somewhere whose law gives you mandatory protections, those protections still apply.
13. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top, and for material changes we'll give you notice before they take effect. Continuing to use Rhema after a change takes effect means you accept it. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect; these terms plus the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about Rhema.
